You're training hard. So why do you feel worse than you used to?

Stiff hips. A back that tightens after a long day at the desk. A shoulder that niggles every time you press. Energy that dips by mid-afternoon. Progress that stalled years ago.

Most coaches will give you more sets and fewer carbs. But if your body isn't moving well and you don't know what's going on under the hood, more effort just means more wear.

Assess first. Then train.

Every client starts with a full movement and postural assessment, the same process I use with athletes in my clinic. We look at how you breathe, move, and load, alongside your body composition, training history, and lifestyle.

From there you get a plan that addresses the real limiters, not just the ones you can see in the mirror.

Neil Walsh, Certified Athletic Therapist

Neil Walsh

Certified Athletic Therapist (ARTI, ROSTI, AMNT, IMTA)

I'm a certified Athletic Therapist and I've run my own clinic in Dublin, NW Athletic Therapy, for five years.

Athletic Therapy is different from physiotherapy. It's built around getting people back to full performance, not just out of pain. Every day in clinic I see the same pattern: men who trained hard for years on programmes that ignored how their bodies actually move.

This coaching is everything I do in clinic, made available online. We assess properly, train intelligently, and build a body that performs for the long haul.

What clients say

Back and hip pain

Had suffered with back/hip pain for years and been to a number of different physios before visiting Neil. He got to the root of the problem quickly and prescribed effective rehab work. I wasn't just stretching for temporary relief. After a couple of sessions with Neil, I am moving and training with confidence and completely pain free.

Knee and shoulder

Having had 5 knee operations, I've been to my fair share of physios … Within only a few weeks, I'm back running and Neil has also helped me shake a shoulder injury that's been at me for years. Back lifting and running pain free.

Ben C.

Shoulder

I had been to see another physio about a shoulder problem, but the exercises were making the problem worse … Neil correctly identified the underlying cause of my issue and worked on it, hands on, in addition to giving me targeted exercises to strengthen the areas needed to recover.

John K.

GAA shoulders and knee

Going in with two dodgy shoulders and an unstable knee I thought I'd never play GAA again. Working with Neil has changed my life … He really understands the body and explained the issues to me. My shoulders are stronger than ever.

Dean W.

Lower back pain

Went to see Neil about lower back pain that was around an 8/10 … Within a few sessions Neil found the cause and put together a programme of exercises to rehab it. I've been to see 6 different physios over the years and he is by far the best.

Daniel O.

Gym shoulder pain

I had pain in my shoulder from using weights in the gym. I went to Neil and after 3 sessions my injury was fixed.
